WE MOVED It has been a long time since there has been a post and the reason is we moved. Downsizing our home included selling the old house, remodeling the new one and then the actual move. We are just about settled and I can say it was an adventure.
The hardest part of this ordeal was moving our fur babies. Our younger dog, Lucky, is adapting great. He was a rescue that was on his own for a while so he adapts to new situations well. My senior dog, JR, is not so happy. He had never been on a leash and when we moved, the fence wasn’t ready for him. He was used to roaming our property as will, and now he only went out to use the “facilities” . This was very stressful on him. We tried to make it easier and did not actually move the dogs until we had everything else moved with the exception of their beds and food bowls. (More on food bowls in the next post). They had to stay in the old house only a couple of days without us there at night. When we put them in the cars and took them to the new house they were happy to see, and probably smell, all the same furniture, bedding, food aromas, we had before. I wish I could have had everything put away so it wouldn’t have been so chaotic, but it wasn’t an option. I have a batch of their favorite treats in the oven. They just love the Pumpkin / Peanut Butter Paw shaped treats. JR even sits right at the kitchen doorway while they bake. The move also has given me more space to create the accessories and jackets/coats we make. Pictures coming soon once it is completely organized. Hope while you are reading this, you are getting ready for a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.
